The Strathmore By the Park Homes Tour is coming up on Saturday, June 20, 2009,and you’re invited! The Onondaga Park Association is proud to present this 15th annual event, a neighborhood and city wide favorite. It’s a time for walking through the neighborhood,visiting with friends, making new friends and showcasing what the Strathmore area has to offer. Tour tickets are available at the tent the day of the tour for $12. Advance sales tickets can be purchased for $10 at Western Lights Liquor Store in Western Lights Plaza. The Tour runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., rain or shine. Everyone starts off at the main tent in the park, near the corner of Crossett and Clairmonte, where tour booklets will be distributed. Viewing all five homes could take at least two hours and homes can be viewed in any order. Beverages will be available for sale at various locations, and of course, there’s the Art on the Porches festival on Ruskin for food, beverages and to feed your inner artist. Proceeds from this year’s tour, as in the past, are earmarked for park improvements, such as tree plantings and decorative garbage cans. As always we will need many volunteers to make this our 15th anniversary just stellar. If you’re interested in helping out for a 2– hour shift, please call Sandy Case at 428‐ 9540. This year, in a departure from previous years, we will have the cocktail reception the night of the tour. This will give our wonderful homeowners time to relax and enjoy the post‐tour accolades. The party will be held June 20, at 7 p.m., at Ted & Susie Limpert’s home at 300 Summit Avenue. Tickets are $30 each. Party tickets are available from Patti Gavigan at 476‐6013.
